Marcel Mercado is a seasoned illustrator with a focus on fantasy art, actively freelancing since 2011 and currently working with notable companies like Dire Wolf Digital and Kobold Press. Significant contributions include illustrations for popular franchises such as Dungeons and Dragons and Lord of the Rings, as well as online card games like Eternal. Marcel's freelance work encompasses cover and interior illustrations for various projects, including Deep Magic and Southlands. Additionally, Marcel co-founded Bullheaded Studios, LLC, serving as CFO while making video games, and previously held positions as Art Director at Darkside Game Studios and Lead Texture Artist at Shadows in Darkness. Marcel holds a bachelor's degree in computer animation from The Art Institutes.
