Noé Girand has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Their most recent role was as the CTO at Moment, a position they held since December 2018. Prior to that, they were the CTO at Articly from January 2016 to September 2017, where they developed and maintained a platform for selling articles from major French newspapers and magazines. From January 2013 to December 2015, they worked as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Quartet FS, where they provided technical expertise and support for various projects in industries such as finance and logistics. Before that, they were a Senior Applications Engineer at Oracle Corporation from July 2010 to December 2012, responsible for integration and testing of a Java J2EE application. Noé Girand also has experience in research, having completed a Master-level research internship on computer architecture at the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 in 2009. Noé has also worked as a professor of mathematics at Acadomia in 2009 and as a software developer at Carrefour in 2008. Noé has a background in emergency services as well, having served as a caregiver at a public hospital in Novosibirsk, Russia in 2008 and as a first-aid worker in the Paris fire brigade from October 2006 to April 2007.
Noé Girand began their education at Prépa Henri IV, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science from 2003 to 2006. Noé then moved on to École Polytechnique from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained an Engineer degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University from 2009 to 2010.
In addition to their formal education, Noé Girand has obtained multiple certifications from Coursera. In September 2017, they completed courses on "Distributed Programming in Java," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Parallel, Concurrent, and Distributed Programming in Java Specialization," and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects." In August 2017, they also completed courses on "Concurrent Programming in Java," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Parallel Programming in Java."
