Dave Lake has extensive work experience in the engineering and environmental consulting field. From 2002 to 2006, they served as an Environmental Consultant at WESA. Dave then joined AMEC Earth & Environmental in 2006 and worked as a Landfill Engineer until 2012. Following this, Dave worked at Jacobs as a Civil Engineer/Design Manager from 2012 to 2019. Most recently, they joined Dillon Consulting Limited in 2019 as a Senior Design Engineer.

Dave Lake obtained their Engineer's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where they attended from 1996 to 2002.
