Samir Aliyev is the founder and CEO of the Swiss Cyber Institute, established in October 2019, which focuses on fostering a secure ecosystem through human-centric education and an extensive cybersecurity network. In addition to managing the institute, Aliyev serves as the Host of the Global Cyber Conference, an event that connects senior cybersecurity stakeholders worldwide. Academic contributions include the role of Academic Program Director for the CAS Cyber Security for Leaders Program at Universität St.Gallen. Since June 2022, Aliyev has also been a Cyber Security Training Expert for the United Nations, providing expertise across various global regions. Currently, Aliyev is a member of the National Cyber Security Committee for digitalswitzerland. Previously, the role of Global Data Protection Manager at Sonova Group was held, where Aliyev implemented EU standards for data protection compliance across multiple European countries. An extensive educational background includes ongoing doctoral research in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Jyväskylä and certifications from prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and the University of Zurich.
