Shayla Cornick is an accomplished education and technology professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of R&D for Edtech and Emerging Technologies at Digital Promise since October 2022, Shayla also leads Cornick Consulting Group as an Educational Consultant, focusing on promoting equity and creating opportunities for students. In addition, Shayla is the Chief Happiness Officer at CYCLED!, an innovative fitness studio, where grant and investment funding has been secured for growth. Previous roles include Director of Educators Rising at PDK International, Director of Research & Evaluation at Discovery Education, and Director of Assessment at Friendship Public Charter School. Shayla's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Education from The George Washington University, along with bachelor's degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Mathematics.
