Rens Dijkstra has a diverse work experience. Rens started their career as a Waiter/Kitchen Assistant at Theater Het Heerenlogement, where they gained experience in food preparation and serving. Rens then worked as a NS Retail Senior Employee at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, focusing on providing excellent customer service in the public transportation sector. Rens also had a summer job as the Head Waiter/Host at Betuwe Strand Boulevard, where they managed the restaurant and ensured smooth operations.
Moving into the field of digital marketing and data analysis, Rens joined The Adecco Group as a Business Intelligence Intern, conducting research on data visualization and supporting the marketing team. Rens later became a Junior Front End Web Developer at the same company, where they handled tasks such as maintenance, visual design, and content management.
Rens then pursued an internship at Philips Benelux, where they focused on CRM, data privacy, and UX design. Rens also gained experience in Agile and Lean methodologies.
More recently, Rens joined Digital Power as a Junior Technical Web Analyst, contributing to data consultancy projects for different organizations. Rens then progressed to become a Medior Technical Web Analyst.
Currently, Rens is working at Channable as a Technical Data Analyst via Digital Power, where they are involved in automating feed management and PPC ads. Lastly, they have also started working as a Technical Web Analyst via Digital Power for Vodafone.
Rens Dijkstra completed their education at various institutions and obtained several certifications.
From 2009 to 2015, Rens attended Lek en Linge Culemborg and obtained a Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs (HAVO) diploma with a field of study in Nature and Technology.
From 2015 to 2019, Rens pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Business IT & Management at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht). Additionally, in 2019, Rens obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in ICT from the same institution. During this period, Rens also earned a STAR Certificate Honours International Perspective.
In 2018 and 2019, Rens attended the University College of Northern Denmark and pursued a minor in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
Apart from formal education, Rens obtained several certifications. In 2019, Rens obtained a Philips Data Privacy Advanced Certification. In 2018, Rens received an Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT) English C2 certification. In 2015, Rens obtained a Dutch Driver's License B (Car). Additionally, Rens achieved a Google Analytics 4 Certification in 2023.
