Juan Olarte has a strong background in accessibility, with experience working in various roles related to web and mobile accessibility. Juan has worked as a Founder CEO at Digita11y Accessible since 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Lead instructor for Creating Accessible Websites at Sheridan College starting in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Accessibility and AODA Consultant at Deloitte. Before that, they worked as an Accessibility Engineer at The Paciello Group from 2018 to 2019. Juan also worked as a Sr. Usability and Accessibility Consultant at Foster Moore - The Registry People and as a Lead instructor for the Inclusive Design Certificate at Humber College. In earlier roles, they worked as a Senior QA Analyst for Accessibility at NTT DATA, Inc., a Sr. Tester for Accessibility at the Government of Ontario, Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, and a Senior Web and Mobile Accessibility Consultant at George Brown College. Juan Olarte attended Humber College from 2011 to 2013. Juan did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during their time there. Prior to that, they attended George Brown College from 2001 to 2004, again without obtaining a degree or specifying a field of study. In addition to their formal education, Juan Olarte has obtained several certifications. In April 2022, they received the "Interaction Design: Flow" certification from LinkedIn. In August 2016, they obtained the "Foundations of UX: Accessibility" certification from Lynda.com, as well as the "Preventing Scope Creep" certification from the same institution in March 2016.
