Derek Kouyoumjian is an experienced freelance photographer with a diverse portfolio that spans over two decades. Currently working with THE INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER GROUP since April 2017, Derek documents news and events while producing captions and introductions for articles. In addition, photography roles with The Pohly Company, Metro Boston, New Venture Media Group, and DigBoston highlight Derek's expertise in event and promotional photography. Notably, work has been featured in various publications, including regional magazines and the New York Times. Educational qualifications include a BA in Art from Salem State University and an Associate degree in Media Technology from Newbury College.
