Yasas De Silva is an experienced professional in the paints and coatings industry, currently serving as the Business Development Manager for Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC since July 2018, where responsibilities include launching a new paints and coatings division. From July 2016 to July 2018, Yasas worked as a Category Manager at Akzonobel Lanka Ltd, successfully developing and launching the "Dulux Superkote range." Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Brand Manager at Nippon Paint Lanka (Pvt) Ltd from January 2011 to July 2016, where Yasas played a key role in launching the Nippon Paint brand in Sri Lanka and collaborating with Nippon Paint's Singapore and Japan offices. Beginning the career as a Trainee Product Manager at Lankem Robbialac, Yasas advanced to Brand Manager, successfully launching a water-based wood coating in partnership with Becker Acroma Italy. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
