Tim Church has a strong background in medicinal chemistry, starting with their role as a Research Associate II at Arris Pharmaceuticals from 1995 to 1997. During this time, they contributed to the patent publication process and generated new compound ideas based on previous synthesis. From 1997 to 2008, Tim worked as a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Theravance, gaining extensive experience in this field. Tim then joined STATegics, Inc. in 2008 and 2010, working as a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry. Tim also had a contract position as a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Achaogen in 2010. Tim joined Oligasis in 2012 as a Scientist in Organic Chemistry. In 2015, Tim joined Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Scientist II in Medicinal Chemistry, before moving to DiCE Molecules in 2016. At DiCE Molecules, Tim initially worked as a Scientist II in Medicinal Chemistry before being promoted to Associate Director in August 2019.

Tim Church received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Alma College in 1992. Tim then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, completing their studies in 1995.
