Lars Melchior has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to the present. Lars started their career as a Student Tutor at The University of Göttingen, where they tutored mathematics and programming classes to physics students and developed scientific software. During this time, they also released their first commercial apps in the Mac App Store.

In 2015, Lars joined the Institute for X-Ray Physics - Georg August Universität Göttingen as a Research Assistant. Lars worked on various projects, including building a C++/Python framework for high-performance simulation of x-ray propagation. Lars also worked as a Senior Full-Stack Developer at science.now in 2020, where they contributed to building a platform to bridge the gap between scientists and artists.

In 2021, Lars participated in the Entrepreneur First (EF) program as an EF-BE7 Cohort Member. EF funds individuals to help build co-founding teams and accelerate their startups through fundraising. Lars then joined DeepSpin in 2021 as an Experimental Physicist, ML Engineer, and Scientific Software Engineer. Lars played a key role in developing and building the full-stack infrastructure for AI-driven MRI experiments, introducing high-quality software development practices for the ML team.

In 2022, Lars became a Software Team Lead at DiaMonTech AG. Lars is involved in the development of a medical device for non-invasive blood sugar measurements, working on embedded firmware, full-stack app, and web development. Lars is proficient in various technologies, including C++, CMake, Python, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Prior to their current role, Lars worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer and Consultant, performing contract work for various clients. Lars gained experience with popular stacks such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Objective C, Java, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, React, and React Native. Additionally, Lars worked as a Freelance Senior Full-Stack Developer at Toptal, an exclusive network of top freelancers.

In 2017, Lars founded Edutapps GmbH and served as the Founder and CEO. Lars led the technical team in building the math learning app Maphi, utilizing various technologies such as C++, CMake, OpenGL, TypeScript, Lua, Objective-C, Java, React, React Native, and Firebase. The app aimed to help students and adults understand analytical mathematics through a game and algebra engine.

Lars Melchior completed their education in a chronological order. Lars started their academic journey in 2009 at The University of Göttingen, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics. After successfully completing their undergraduate studies, Lars continued their education at the same institution. From 2014 to 2017, they attended The University of Göttingen to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics. During their education, Lars also participated in a one-year Erasmus program at Universidad de La Laguna in 2013, focusing on Astronomy and Astrophysics.
