Richard Mulcahy has a diverse work experience in the field of firearms engineering. Richard is currently the Engineering Director at Diamondback Firearms. Prior to that, they worked at FN America, LLC, where they held the positions of Lead Design Engineer and Product Design Engineer. Before joining FN America, they were the Director of Engineering & Quality at Honor Defense, where they also served as a Product Design Engineer. Richard also worked as a Product Design Engineer at Beretta USA and as a Project Engineer at Bechtel Corporation. Richard started their career as an Engineering Intern at Ruger Firearms. Additionally, Richard gained experience as an Engineering Student Employee at NIST.

Richard Mulcahy attended Oakton High School from 1999 to 2003, where they received a degree in General Studies. Richard then went on to West Virginia University and studied Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from 2003 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university.
