Pete Markiewicz is an experienced educator and consultant in user experience (UX) design, currently serving as a US Design Instructor at Otis College of Art and Design. Throughout a robust career, Pete has contributed to multiple organizations, including CogniXR, where responsibilities include developing product roadmaps for XR-based virtual reality therapy systems, and at Baid Media, LLC, focusing on UX research and interaction design. In roles at Diamond and Aquity Solutions, Pete evaluates business models and implements UX strategies for various platforms, while also holding positions at the University of Pittsburgh and XR Wizards Lab to advance UX curriculum and research in immersive technologies. Pete's extensive background also includes developing GDIM programs at Columbia College Hollywood and graduate-level courses at Daymar College. Academically, Pete holds a Doctor of Science PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago and a postdoctoral degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA.
