Niamh Dougan is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the development and support of beamline control systems at Diamond Light Source, where Niamh has held various roles including Senior Software Engineer Team Lead and Software Systems Engineer since October 2017. Previously, Niamh served as a Graduate Software Systems Engineer, gaining proficiency in Python, EPICS, Docker, and Java. Niamh also has a background in laboratory support, having worked as a Laboratory Technician at both Diamond Light Source and the University of Southampton, where responsibilities included training research groups and managing lab resources. Niamh holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, achieved in 2016.
