Sameera Wijerathna is an experienced professional in the digital services sector, currently serving as the Head of Digital SME at Dialog Axiata PLC since August 2020, focusing on business strategies that empower the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises in Sri Lanka. Previously, Sameera held the position of Head of Digital Education at Dialog Axiata PLC, leading digital transformation initiatives in the education sector. Sameera’s background includes serving as the Director and Chief Executive Officer of MyDoctor I My Health Solutions and as Head of Business Development at Digital Health Private Limited, both of which are associated with Dialog Axiata PLC. Early career roles at Dialog Axiata PLC included Senior Manager of Digital Services and Unit Manager of Digital Services, where strategic development for digital products and services was a primary focus. Sameera holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, a Master's Degree in Development Studies from the University of Colombo, and a Bachelor of Information Technology from the same university.
