Ranga Kariyawasam is currently serving as the Group Chief Technology Officer at Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka's leading telecommunications services provider, since August 2023. In addition to this role, Ranga holds board memberships at Dialog Network Services (Private) Limited and Lanka Mobile Number Portability Limited. Previously, from September 2013 to August 2023, Ranga was the Group Head of Network Strategy, Planning & Optimization, and Vice President of Group Technology at Axiata Group Berhad. Ranga's tenure at Dialog Axiata PLC also includes serving as Head of Access Network Planning from October 2001 to August 2013. Ranga holds a Master’s Degree in Wireless Networks from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Additional qualifications include completion of the Harvard Leadership Program and ongoing education in the Transition to General Management in the Digital Era at INSEAD.
