Philip Gomez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Philip started their career in 1989 as a photographer and owner of Southern Exposure Studios/ Sonlight Studios, where they specialized in commercial photography and design, working with clients such as Avon Products and Alamo Rent A Car.
In 1995, Gomez became the Design Studio Manager at JJChem.com, where they established and managed an in-house design department, overseeing the creation and production of product catalogs and promotional materials.
From 1997 to 1999, they served as the Senior Designer/Manager at Elliott Wave International, leading the creative efforts for the art/marketing department. Philip designed catalogs, promotional materials, and provided creative content for the company's website based on financial market events.
At Media 3 Publications from 2000 to 2005, Gomez worked as the Art Director/Imaging Specialist, art directing and producing custom magazine-style newsletters for the financial services industry. Philip also managed the company's website and pioneered online permission marketing.
From 2005 to 2006, after McMurry acquired Media 3 Publications, Gomez continued to work there as an Art Director/Graphic Designer, producing publications for the financial services industry and supporting the transition of clients to McMurry.
From 2006 to 2008, Gomez started their own business called Sonlight Studios, providing art direction, design, photography, and web services to various small businesses in the Greater Atlanta Area. During this time, they also produced a book for Metametrix Clinical Laboratory.
In 2008, Gomez joined Metametrix Clinical Laboratory as a Senior Graphic Designer, spearheading the creation of the Metametrix Institute and leading the production of books and digital assets. In 2012, Metametrix was acquired by Genova Diagnostics, where Gomez continued as a Senior Digital Designer until 2018.
Since 2018, Gomez has been working as a Creative Director at Web, Print, Video, Photography, and Multimedia, and in 2020, they also took on the role of Creative Director at Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory, LLC.
Throughout their career, Gomez has demonstrated their expertise in various design-related roles in both corporate and freelance settings, showcasing their abilities in art direction, graphic design, photography, web design, and multimedia production.
Philip Gomez attended the School of Visual Arts and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Commercial Photography. Philip also attended the High School of Art and Design, where they received a Regents with Merit degree in Commercial Photography and Design. In addition, Philip has a certification as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Genova Diagnostics.
