Eva Malessa is an experienced researcher and educator with a focus on language acquisition and literacy training. Currently serving as a Junior Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä since April 2018, Eva explores technology-enhanced literacy training for low-literate adults learning Finnish as a second language. Previous roles include Project Researcher for the AllRead project, Pre-sessional English Teacher at INTO Newcastle University, and Language Facilitator at Newcastle University. Eva has contributed to academic conferences with research presentations and has practical teaching experience in English, German, and Finnish. Eva holds a Master's degree in Linguistics and Language Acquisition from Newcastle University and another Master's degree in Finnish-English-German language and culture from the University of Jyväskylä, complemented by undergraduate studies in Finnish and English Language and Literature from Universität Greifswald.
