Jingyi Yu is a widely-recognized expert in the fields of computer vision, computational imaging, computer graphics, and bioinformatics. He currently serves as executive dean of the School of Information and Technology at Shanghai Tech University. Previously, he was a professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Delaware. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Health, the Army Research Office and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. He is the recipient of the National Science Foundation¡¯s prestigious Career Award. He has been granted ten U.S. patents and has served as general or program chair at numerous international conferences including SIGGRAPH, IEEE and Elsevier. In 2021, he will be program chair of IEEE¡¯s Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. He was awarded a doctorate degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering from MIT in 2005.
