Sona Bellur currently serves as the Board Chair of Technology for the DFW Alliance of Technology and Women since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sona was the Technology Director at The Michaels Companies, Inc. from March 2021 to September 2024, where significant achievements included directing back-end engineering teams to enhance E-Commerce operations on Google Cloud Platform, leading infrastructure modernization efforts, and realizing $5 million in cost savings. Previous experience as a Sr. Manager at IBM and Director at Atos involved transforming healthcare IT systems for the largest public hospital in Dallas, focusing on service delivery management and operational performance across numerous applications. Sona began a project management career at Lennox, successfully overseeing a $1.7 million SAP ERP system upgrade. Sona holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from the University of Mysore and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics from Bangalore University.
