Thiago S. Gouvêa is a Senior Researcher at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since December 2021, previously serving as an Associate Professor at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University for a brief period in 2021. Gouvêa has extensive experience in neuroscience from positions such as Postdoctoral Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where research focused on the dynamics of neural populations during decision-making tasks, and as a Doctoral Researcher at Champalimaud Foundation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from UEL - Universidade Estadual de Londrina, a Master of Science in Physiology from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
