Michael Barz is a Department Manager and Researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since November 2015, specializing in gaze-based multimodal interaction and overseeing national and EU-wide research projects. Additionally, Michael Barz is involved in teaching at Saarland University and the University of Oldenburg. Prior experience includes roles as a Student Assistant at abat, where involvement in mobile client development for production control in the automotive industry occurred, and at Saarland University, where Michael Barz tutored courses in user interface design and media informatics. Michael Barz holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Informatik from Universität des Saarlandes, completed between 2010 and 2015.
