Don Wood has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Don started their career at International Power Technology as EVP Sales and Marketing from 1984 to 1988. Later, in 1989, they founded Wood Howard Products and served as the CEO, where they invented and patented a laminated publishing format and sold over 100 million products. In 1991, they joined Octel Communications in a marketing and general management role for three years. From 1994 to 1998, they acted as the President and Board Member of Metricom. In 1998, they became a Managing Director at Vanguard Ventures until 2006. Don then served as a Managing Director at DFJ, leading the expansion of the DFJ Global Network and investing in various companies, until an unspecified date. Since 2016, they have been a Senior Advisor at Energy Impact Partners and also held the role of Senior Advisor at Piva from 2019. In 2023, they joined B Capital as a Venture Partner. Additionally, they have been a Faculty member at Stanford Graduate School of Business since 2014.
Don Wood studied at Stanford University where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Don also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University, with a focus on Finance and Marketing.
