Angelina Namakula-Ofwono has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Angelina currently holds the position of Chief Legal Officer/Company Secretary at dfcu Bank, a role they have been serving since October 2019. Prior to joining dfcu Bank, Angelina worked at Barclays Bank of Uganda Limited where they held the position of Head of Legal/Company Secretary from January 2007 to August 2019. Before their time at Barclays, they were the Coordinator of Continuing Legal Education at the Uganda Law Society from July 2003 to August 2006. Angelina also has experience as a State Attorney at the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, where they worked from March 2001 to June 2003.

Angelina Namakula-Ofwono earned their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Makerere University, graduating in 1999. Angelina then went on to obtain a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, which they completed between 1999 and 2000. In 2001 and 2002, Angelina pursued further education, earning an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Kent. Their field of study throughout their education has been law.
