Fiona Broderick

First Secretary at Irish Foreign Ministry

Fiona Broderick serves as a First Secretary and Deputy Director for US relations at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland, with experience that includes roles at the embassy in Addis Ababa and within the Human Rights Unit. Previous positions include Social Justice Representative at Agape Ministries, Cover Worker at Depaul (Ireland), and Human Rights Officer at The Leprosy Mission Ireland, where Fiona conducted research on human rights issues. Additional experience as a Programmes Assistant at Love146 focused on combating child sex trafficking. Fiona's education includes a Master of Law in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Queens University Belfast, along with degrees in social science and political science from University College Dublin and Freie Universität Berlin. Notably, Fiona was the Head Girl at Newpark Comprehensive School, achieving excellent academic results.
