Shend Çarkaxhiu has a diverse work experience in software engineering roles. In 2012, they started as an Internship Student at UNICEF Innovations Lab Kosovo. Shend then worked as a Software Developer at InterAdria from December 2012 to March 2017. In 2017, they joined Ident-A-Kid Services of America, Inc. as a Software Developer. In 2018, Shend joined BriteCore, where they served as a Software Engineer until February 2020. Shend then took on the role of Engineering Manager from February 2020 to August 2021. Finally, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at BriteCore from August 2021 to July 2022. Most recently, Shend joined DevStride in October 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer.

Shend Çarkaxhiu completed their high school education at Sami Frashëri High School from 2005 to 2009, specializing in general education. After that, they attended the University of Prishtina from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Çarkaxhiu obtained a certification in Project+ from CompTIA in May 2012 and an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming in February 2013.
