Remberto Del Real is the chief marketing officer for DeVry University, responsible for branding, paid media, social media, and strategic planning. He leads the development of all creative work that supports advertising and marketing programs, with oversight on direct marketing initiatives, print and collateral materials, special events and online activities.
With more than 20 years of experience, Del Real has held marketing and strategy leadership roles across various industries, including financial services and retail. Previously, he served as the managing director of U.S. personal and business banking marketing for BMO Harris Bank, where his focus was squarely on driving customer acquisition.
In 2019, Negocios Now business publication recognized Del Real among the Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago in education, and in 2016, Diversity MBA Magazine named him a Top 100 under 50 Emerging Leaders. He has received awards for Best Branded Content Campaign and Best in Person Events from Content Marketing Institute (2018 and 2015, respectively), and two Interactive Media Awards for Best in Class Website for banking and financial information in 2015. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for 3Arts, a Chicago-based nonprofit that advocates for women artists, artists of color, and artists with disabilities.
Del Real earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Illinois – Chicago and an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is also Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
