Jason Bahl is a seasoned software engineer and instructor with extensive experience in WordPress development and teaching modern software technologies. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at WP Engine since February 2021, Jason is the creator and maintainer of WPGraphQL, an open-source plugin that enables GraphQL API capabilities for WordPress sites. In addition to this role, Jason has been a Software Instructor at DevelopIntelligence since January 2019, where instruction focuses on React, GraphQL, and Apollo. Prior experience includes roles at Gatsby Inc, Media News Group, 10up, and The Bokka Group, showcasing a proficiency in web engineering, theme and plugin development, and user experience enhancement. Jason holds a BA in Photojournalism from Metropolitan State University of Denver, complementing a background in web design and photography through a personal venture, Jason Bahl Multimedia.
