Karan Kashyap has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2020, they worked as a Student Researcher at Wolfram, where they utilized the Wolfram Language and machine learning to predict functions obtained from integrating mathematical expressions. In the same year, they also held a Software Engineering Intern position at Sitare Foundation, where they designed and developed an app to automate the registration process for financially disadvantaged students.

In 2021, Karan joined Brown Data Science as an Executive Board Member, where they contributed to the development of a machine learning algorithm for predicting stock prices using NLP analysis of news headlines. Karan also served as the Investment Vertical Head at Brown Healthcare Investment Group, focusing on the healthcare IT and insurance sectors.

In 2022, Karan worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Tata Digital, where they developed end-to-end NLP systems to analyze customer reviews and implemented an unsupervised aspect-based sentiment analysis tool. Karan also participated in various projects and roles at Brown University, including being a Projects Director at Full Stack at Brown and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of Computer Science.

Most recently, in 2023, Karan joined Develop for Good as a Software Engineer, utilizing their programming skills in software development. Throughout their work experience, Karan has demonstrated expertise in machine learning, software engineering, data analysis, and research. Karan has also showcased their communication and teaching abilities through roles as an author on Medium, publishing articles on computer science, machine learning, and mathematics.

Karan Kashyap began their education at The Shri Ram School in 2006 and completed their high school diploma in 2021, specializing in Science with a focus on Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

In 2019, Karan attended Stanford University for the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes, where they studied Computer Security and Machine Learning.

Starting in 2021 and expected to graduate in 2025, Karan is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Brown University.

Karan has also obtained several certifications in various areas. In 2020, they achieved the title of Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor from The College Board. In 2019, they obtained the Rockschool Electric Guitar: Grade 6 certification from RSL Awards.

Furthermore, Karan has completed multiple online certifications. Karan has acquired proficiency in Python and Machine Learning through Kaggle, obtaining the "Intro to Machine Learning" certification in 2021 and the "Python" certification in 2021. In 2022, they gained competencies in Full Stack Web Development, Natural Language Processing, and Microsoft SQL for Beginners from Udemy. Additionally, they completed several courses on the Kaggle platform, including "Intro to AI Ethics," "Intro to Deep Learning," and "Pandas," all in 2022.
