Simon Franz is a Technical Business Developer at Deutsche Windtechnik AG, specializing in the evaluation of expert opinions, damage reports, and the preparation of repair measures for rotor blades on wind turbines since August 2020. Previously, Simon served as a Technischer Modellbauer at Beuttenmüller GmbH Design & Engineering Center, where responsibilities included constructing and measuring design models and manufacturing components for aerodynamic tests from September 2013 to September 2018. Simon holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Wind Energy Technology and Management from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, expected in June 2024, and a state-certified technician degree in Mechanical Engineering from Max-Eyth-Schule Kirchheim/Teck, attained in 2020. The technical foundation was established with an Ausbildung as a Technischer Modellbauer at Wilhelm-Maybach-Schule Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt, completed in 2017.
