Cagatay Buyukkoc is a Principal Architect at Deutsche Telekom since December 2022, with an extensive background in telecommunications and network strategies. At AT&T, Cagatay has played a pivotal role as the Creator of O-RAN, merging xRAN and C-RAN alliances to establish the world's largest RAN alliance, and previously led the Next Generation Research Group focused on the development of Disaggregated RAN. Earlier experience includes roles as Technical Leader at Cisco Systems, Senior Director at ZTE and VPi, and Member of Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies. Cagatay holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, an Executive MBA from The Wharton School, and a BS-MS in Electrical Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
