Christian Schmalstieg currently serves as the Chief Inclusion and Diversity Ambassador at itemis AG, where responsibilities include the development and implementation of inclusive projects, promotion of digital accessibility, and acting as a communication link for inclusion and diversity initiatives. As an Assistant to the Management at Social Hope Team Hannover, Christian contributes three hours per week. Previous positions include a retired status due to full disability at Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, leadership roles at Bundesverbraucherhilfe e.V. focusing on health, social issues, and the needs of individuals with disabilities, and operational roles at GLS Bank related to investor management and microfinancing. Earlier experience includes a traineeship at Deutsche Telekom and civil service in environmental protection. Christian holds a degree from Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, completed between 2011 and 2014.
