Dr. Daniel Westphal is a professional with extensive experience in the railway system digitization and consulting sectors. Currently serving as People Lead at Deutsche Bahn, Dr. Westphal contributes to the Digitalisierung Bahnsystem program, focusing on enhancing the efficiency of the railway system through digital technologies. Previously, Dr. Westphal held various roles at etventure, including Manager of Advisory Services and Senior Agile Coach, where significant transformations towards an OKR-driven structure were achieved. Additionally, Dr. Westphal has worked as Development Operations Manager at pangea labs GmbH and in research positions at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, and earlier roles within Deutsche Bahn and NetStart. Dr. Westphal holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Freie Universität Berlin and a doctorate in Economics and Management from Technische Universität Berlin, alongside a qualification as a Systemic Business Coach from Quadriga University of Applied Sciences.
