Janocus Sanders currently serves as Assistant Principal at Oak Park School District and has held various administrative roles at Oak Park High School since September 2018, focusing on climate and culture. Sanders’ extensive experience also includes serving as MTSS District Coordinator and Middle School Principal at Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences. Previous roles include Academic Engagement Administrator/Dean of Students/Athletic Director at Brenda Scott Academy and Physical Education/Health Teacher at both Dove Academy of Detroit and Edison Oakland Public School Academy. Janocus Sanders holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Madonna University, a Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Northern Michigan University.
