Mavis Gevido, MBA, is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as an HR Advisor at Destination Canada since December 2017, where the focus is on enhancing Canada's tourism export revenues. Prior to this role, Mavis held the position of Senior Human Resources Manager at Colgate-Palmolive Philippines, Inc., from September 2010 to April 2016, where responsibilities included talent acquisition and succession planning. Earlier experiences include serving as Training Manager at Philippine Batteries Incorporated, from May 2007 to August 2010, where Mavis developed organizational training strategies and leadership programs, and as HR Assistant Manager at AB Food & Beverages Phils Inc from 1997 to 2007, overseeing employee engagement and recruitment initiatives. Mavis holds a Master of Business Administration from De La Salle University, a Human Resources Management Certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of the Philippines.
