Markus Laakeristo is an experienced engineering professional with a specialization in structural design for high-voltage transmission lines and substations, having worked at Despro Engineering Oy since November 2021 as a Specialist. Prior to this, Markus held positions as Lead Design Engineer at Enersense International Oyj and Empower Group, where responsibilities included leading design efforts and supporting calculations for structures ranging from 110 to 400 kV. Markus also has experience in civil engineering from roles at Rakennusliike Markku Laakeristo Oy and Empower Group, involving site management, tendering, and procurement. Markus holds both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
