Leonardo Victor Cantoni is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as the Engineer Manager at Despegar since March 2013, Leonardo leads teams responsible for the integration of rental cars and destination services, as well as accommodations suppliers, utilizing Java and Scala for various web applications. Previously, as a Technical Team Lead at Despegar, Leonardo oversaw projects related to checkout systems for multiple products. Prior to Despegar, Leonardo worked as a Software Engineer at Globant, contributing to REST service development for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online, and held a software engineering position at Softtek. Additionally, Leonardo has academic experience as a teacher assistant at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, where responsibilities included teaching language syntax, semantics, and programming paradigms. Leonardo holds a degree in Information Systems Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.
