Tommy Nguyen serves as the Manager and Head of Global Equities at Desjardins Global Asset Management since December 2015, overseeing all equity portfolios and bringing extensive market knowledge and expertise to the team. Previously, Tommy held the position of Director, Canadian Equity at the same company, managing Canadian equities and market-neutral mandates. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Portfolio Manager and Alternative Strategies at Financière des professionnels, where Tommy led the management of equities and market-neutral mandates. From November 2003 to December 2011, Tommy was Senior Portfolio Manager at Palos Management Inc., responsible for all funds managed by the firm. Tommy has received Fundgrade A+ awards in 2014 and 2015 for exceptional management of the Professionals' Financial Canadian Dividend Fund and Retirement Balanced Fund. Educational qualifications include a B.ENG in Software Engineering from Concordia University, an EMBA from Athabasca University, and a CIM designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
