Laura E. Araujo is a seasoned professional in design and community engagement, currently serving as a Board Member for Design Forward Alliance and WILDCOAST, as well as a member of the Board of Advisors for Tijuana Design Week and Balboa Park Cultural Partnership. Araujo holds the position of Chief International Affairs Officer for World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024, where responsibilities include community outreach and event planning. Previous roles include Director of Binational Affairs at Tijuana Innovadora and involvement in various organizations focused on cross-border collaborations, design, and youth engagement. Araujo holds degrees in Graphic Design from Universidad Iberoamericana Tijuana and Southwestern Community College District.
