Morgan Dixon has worked in the software engineering industry since 2008. In that time, they have held various roles at different companies. In 2008, they began their career as a PhD student in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, where they researched and developed new tools for building interfaces. In 2016 they moved to Adobe, where they worked as a Research Scientist, designing, testing, and deploying new tools for building interfaces and new interaction capabilities. In 2017, they co-founded, designed, and ran Cheeseburger Therapy, a peer-to-peer mental health support community. Morgan then moved to AppSheet in 2018, where they worked as a Senior UX Engineer and Frontend Software Engineer, designing, building, and testing new features for the platform. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Descript.
Morgan Dixon received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of Washington in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 2008.
