Muhammad Kamran Riaz has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Muhammad Kamran began their career as an Audit Associate at Crowe Horwath International, where they gained experience in planning, executing, supervising, and reviewing audits and special engagements. In 2014, they joined Descon as a Project Financial Controller, responsible for leading the financial, reporting, and controlling functions of various projects in the Power and Oil & Gas sectors. Muhammad Kamran ensured proper maintenance and documentation of accounting records. Throughout their time at Descon, Muhammad held positions like Financial Planning Analyst, Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Country Finance Manager for Descon Abu Dhabi. Currently, they serve as the Head of Finance for the Industrial Services Division at Descon.

Muhammad Kamran Riaz ACA, FCCA has a strong educational background in accounting, finance, auditing, taxation, and related fields. From 2010 to 2016, they attended The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and obtained their ACA degree. During this time, they focused on subjects such as accounting, finance, auditing, and taxation.

Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, Riaz completed the Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) program, which covered various areas including accounting, finance, ethics, and performance management.

Additionally, Riaz holds a Master's degree from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) in Commerce, although the specific start and end years for this degree are not provided.

In 2017, Riaz continued their studies at the ACCA and achieved the title of Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), further deepening their expertise in accounting and finance.

Moreover, Riaz also attended the Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2017, where they completed the Management Development Program. This program focused on various aspects of business management, change management, leadership, and cross-cultural communication.

In terms of additional certifications, Riaz obtained the ISO 22301 Lead Auditor certification from Intertek in May 2023.
