Albert Farr, Ph.D. serves as the Dean of Academic Success at Des Moines Area Community College since November 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing adjunct faculty and academic support for students, as well as managing the Academic Achievement Center and various grant-funded programs. With a substantial academic background, Albert has held several positions including Adjunct Lecturer at Iowa State University and a Volunteer Member of the Peer Review Corps for the Higher Learning Commission. Prior experience encompasses roles such as Academic Chair and Tenured English Instructor at St. Petersburg College, where mentoring faculty and program development were key duties. Albert holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Policy Studies from Iowa State University, complemented by a Master of Arts in English Literature and a Bachelor of Science in English from the same university.
