Brad Derrick began their work experience in 2001 as a Mutual Fund Data Analyst at Putnam Investments. Brad was responsible for calculating daily net asset value and general ledger balances, confirming market value and daily returns, and preparing reports for submission to auditors. In 2006, they joined Caterpillar Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer, where they focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, managing a team of coordinators, and completing a leadership development program. That same year, they also worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the COOP program at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where they received extensive training and participated in meetings to discuss reactor issues and develop risk mitigation plans. In 2009, Derrick joined Derrick Corporation as President and Chief Operating Officer.
Brad Derrick has a diverse education history. In 1997, they completed their secondary education at Mercersburg Academy. Brad went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a concentration in Engineering at Tufts University, graduating in 2001. Additionally, they studied abroad at the University of Otago in 2000, focusing on Economics. Later, in 2006, Brad obtained a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Continuing their educational journey, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School in 2014.
Aside from their formal education, Brad Derrick has also attained various certifications. In 2001, they obtained the Series 7 certification from FINRA, followed by the Series 66 certification in 2002. Taking an interest in quality management, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Caterpillar Inc. in 2008. In 2014, they earned the ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification from SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. Most recently, in 2018, they completed the Systematic Mold Training provided by RJG, Inc.
