Robin Gehris has extensive experience in the field of dermatology. They began their career in 2007 as the Chief of Pediatric Dermatology at Children's Dermatology Services, where they served until 2021. During this time, Gehris also held the role of Medical Director of Pediatric Teledermatology at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2021. In addition, they were the Program Director of the Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2017. Gehris joined Riverchase Dermatology in 2021 as a Pediatric Dermatologist and Young Adult Dermatologist. Most recently, in 2022, they assumed the position of Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Operations at DermatologistOnCall.
Robin Gehris completed their high school education at Lancaster Country Day School. After that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology and Psychology from Duke University from 1989 to 1993. Later, they attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 1993 to 1997. Robin then completed a Pediatrics Residency Program at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they served as the Chief Resident in Pediatrics from 2000 to 2001 at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Robin continued their education with a Dermatology Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from 2002 to 2005. Finally, they completed a Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from 2005 to 2006.
