Stephen Pearce has a strong background in finance and football management. Stephen served as the Chief Financial Officer at Derby County Football Club starting in 2013, and later became the Chief Executive Officer in August 2018. Prior to that, Pearce worked at Chelsea Football Club as the Head of Statutory Reporting from 2006 to 2013. Stephen began their career in the financial industry at KPMG UK, where they worked in audit from 2002 to 2006.

Stephen Pearce holds a degree in FCA from ICAEW. Additionally, they obtained a BSc - Hons degree from The University of Manchester. Stephen also attended St Edward's College, Liverpool, but the degree obtained from there is unknown.
