Jimmy Ouellet has a wealth of experience in the field of biotechnology. Jimmy began their career in 1999 as a Research Assistant at McGill University. In 2002, they became a Teaching Assistant at the same institution. In 2008, they moved to ETH Zurich as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they developed tools to follow pre-existing and newly synthesized proteins in vivo. In 2013, they joined CNRS. Laboratoire de physique statistique as a Chercheur and also joined PicoSeq as a Lead Molecular Biologist and Senior Scientist in Assay Development. In 2016, they moved to Depixus as Chief Scientist and Lead Molecular Biologist. At Depixus, they are responsible for defining and coordinating research and innovation activities to ensure the company remains at the cutting edge of new discoveries.
Jimmy Ouellet attended McGill University from 1997 to 2008, where they earned a B.Sc. in Microbiology and Immunology in 2000, a Master in Biology in 2002, and a Doctorate in Biology in 2008. Jimmy also attended ETH Zürich in 2012, but did not receive a degree.
