Nathan Holzmueller is an experienced physics educator currently teaching at DePaul College Prep since August 2023. Previously, Nathan taught physics at North Oldham High School from August 2020 to June 2023. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University, where study included a minor in statistics and involvement as an undergraduate research assistant focused on low energy electron reflectivity. Nathan further advanced education with a Master of Arts in Physics Teacher Education from the University of Louisville. In addition to teaching, Nathan is an accomplished chess instructor with experience coaching various levels, leading a team to a top 10 finish in the IHSA State Chess Tournament, and placing 24th in the National High School Chess Championships. Other roles include mentoring middle school students in physics and serving as a teaching assistant at the Leonard Gelfand Center.
