Richard Mitchell is an experienced professional in digital and data services, currently serving as the Director of Digital and Data Services at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania since September 2023. Previously, Richard held the position of Information Services Manager at the same department and was the Director of the Project Management Office at the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment, where responsibilities included overseeing project management functions and enhancing project and change management delivery. Richard's prior roles also include positions at the Department of Premier and Cabinet, where Richard managed programs focused on unified communications, and various managerial roles in information services and systems at DPIPWE. Richard earned a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Sydney from 2000 to 2003.
