Charles Hubbard has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Charles currently works as a Data Scientist at Meta, where they design and evaluates ranking models for the targeted tab system. Charles also collaborates with the software engineering team to generate hypothesis for ranking improvements and conduct experiments. Before joining Meta, Charles served as the Chief Data Officer at DenScore Inc., where they leveraged big data analytics and consumer insights to provide personalized dental care solutions. Prior to that, they held positions at Hy-Vee, Inc. as a Data Scientist and Technical Lead, where they built predictive models, conducted statistical analysis, and segmented customers based on purchasing habits. Charles also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University, developing parallel matrix completion techniques and kernel regression techniques for recommendation systems and rechargeable batteries respectively. Charles gained experience as a Network Security Graduate Intern at MITRE, where they used big-data technologies for anomaly detection in Industrial Control Systems. Charles started their career as a Test Engineer at Diedrichs and Associates and as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Northern Iowa. Additionally, they served as the Leader in Training Director at YMCA Camp Wapsie, where they designed and implemented a leadership program for high school students.

Charles Hubbard earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from the University of Northern Iowa, where they attended from 2007 to 2012. From 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University.
