Curtis Brandt, PhD, is a highly experienced bioprocess scientist currently serving as a Senior Bioprocess Scientist at DeNova since January 2023, focusing on the optimization and scaling of single-cell protein (SCP) production in methylotrophic bacteria. Prior to this role, Curtis held positions at CCRM, where responsibilities included manufacturing autologous cancer cell immunotherapy products under cGMP standards, and at Microbix, engaging in bioprocessing of viral and bacterial pathogens. Other notable experiences include territory management at Diamed Lab Supplies Inc., postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the University of Saskatchewan, and a graduate student researcher role during which Curtis published significant research on obesity-related proteins. Academically, Curtis holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a BSc with High Honours, both from the University of Saskatchewan, with additional education from the University of Regina.
